INSTALLATION

Installing CI Badge
1. Right-click CIBNETinstall.exe. and choose Run As Administrator.
2. Choose Yes if you’re asked if you want to allow this app to make changes to your device.
3. A CI Badge Solutions window will open and go through several checks. Then an installer will open. At the main screen, click OK.
4. At the installation screen, click the computer icon to install.
5. When the window states the install has completed successfully, click OK.
6. The CI Badge Solutions window will open again and go through further checks.
7. Once the installation completes, click Exit.
Copying the Icons
1. Copy the CI Badge icons on the desktop. There are three.
2. Paste the CI Badge icons into C:\users\Public\Desktop.
MS Access – enable all Macros
1. Launch MS Access (must be 32-bit version 2010 or newer).
2. Navigate to Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Macro Settings > Enable all macros & Save.
Running the Program
1. Right-click the CI Badge icon on the Desktop and Run as Admin
2. You will be given a Machine ID.
3. Email this Machine ID to support@cardintegrators.com along with your customer number.
4. A member of the Support Team will return your email with a license key as soon as your account status is reviewed.
5. Enter the license key into the program.

LICENSING

CI Badge is asking for a license even though it was previously licensed
Confirm whether the Macros in MS Access are enabled or not
1. Open MS Access, go to Access Options or Options (depending on your version)
2. Select Trust Center, then Trust Center Settings
3. Select Macro Settings, then Enable all macros
4. Click OK, then OK again then close MS Access
5. Reopen CI Badge and the log-in screen should appear

LAYOUT

Printing an extra text field on top left hand corner of layout
axEZBFontSizer property of Visible is set to ‘Yes’ and needs to be set to ‘No”
Print preview crashes when scrolling to the second page
The signature properties needs to be changed from Linked to Embedded in the CIBCards. This could also be caused by other images, pictures, thumbprints, etc.

OTHER

Having to right click and run as an admin to see the Machine ID
This is a combination of Win 10 OS and program not being installed using local admin account.
1. Prior to reinstall, try the following first under a local admin account:
  • a. In the CI Badge directory, C:\CI Solutions\CI Badge\Support folder, run the Reg_ciMediaTracker.cmd file, right-click and run as Admin
  • b. Proceed to license the software
2. Verify account being used to run installation has local admin or Domain admin permissions.
  • a. Go to Windows search and type ‘cmd’
  • b. Right click Command Prompt and ‘Run as Admin’
  • c. Type ‘netplwiz’ and hit Enter to view User Account Info
Photo not printing or displaying in preview (WIN 10, 64 bit machine, No MS Access previously installed)
1. Run the jpeg fix
2. Files are located as part of the installation files for every version of the software - H:\!!!Latest CI Software!!\CI Badge V820e Install 9-12-2017\!Master_Distribution\Support\JPEG Fix
3. Copy the JPEGIM32.FLT into C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\GRPHFLT
4. If GRPHFLT doesn’t exist, create it
5. Double click MSO_JPEG_Filter_32.reg to install
CI Badge crashes after a reboot of the PC and displays, "unrecognized database format “C:CI SolutionsCI BadgeCI Badge81.mdb”
Reinstall CI Badge with Local Admin rights and reboot PC. The error should no longer be present.
